Eleanor's work has centered around braille research and product development. She has also done some basic research on the size and spacing of the braille code and characteristics of adventiously blind adults learning braille.

She enjoys her work, and meeting and talking to people about it during presentations and as she fields questions over the phone. She is currently working on Building on Patterns, the Primary Braille Literacy Program, known as BOP.
